We are a large child friendly restaurant conveniently located in the heart of Cheadle Hulme with ample parking opposite for your convenience. Both the restaurant and toilets are on ground floor. We offer free Wifi! Sunday buffet! Take outs can be ordered and paid for over the phone! A bar license for drinks only until 1am!
All our food is freshly prepared and cooked on the premises, and gives a wide reflection of Eastern tastes varying from the popular sweet and sour to the Spicy and aromatic Thai!
We can also assist you with any dietary requirements e.g. Peanut and Gluten free.
Managed by Linda for nearly 18 years now, she is now joined by her new business partner Steven who has worked locally for 9 years and has brought even more impeccable service and a high standard of cuisine to Rainbow88. Aided by their friendly and amiable staff, Rainbow88 offers a great dining experience, ambience, it’s even better now after a new refurbishment with carefully chosen warm colours and a cosy new central heating system.
Rainbow88 has also been awarded a Proud of Stockport Award for Most Community Spirited Organisation. This is due to Linda’s phrase ‘I also like to give something back to the community’ and this has been proven by the amazing amounts of money raised over the years for local charities…totalling to over £200,000 for Dementia, Kidney Research, Cancer Related (Beechwood Cancer Care Centre, St Ann’s Hospice, Christies, MacMillan Nurses, Prevent Breast Cancer, Jo’s Trust), MS, NSPCC Schools Childline Services, Shopmobility Stockport, Stockport Mind, Swanbourne Gardens, respite for terminally ill children & many more local causes. rainbow88 is also very supportive of local schools, brownie clubs, scouts, etc….

My husband and I have been going to Rainbow88 for about 3 years now and love the food and the friendly atmosphere. 2 favourites are the chicken curry and the chilli rice. We’ve also used the convenient delivery service. My sister always asks if we can have a meal there or a takeaway delivered when she comes up to stay with us 5 or 6 times a year. You will not be disappointed if you pop in for dinner or attend one of the many events held at this venue. They also have a 5star hygiene rating.
Rainbow 88 is an amazing restaurant, owned by the even more amazing Linda Lam who has a heart of gold. She puts n the best charity events and the food is always great. She is right – there isn’t the same number of dishes served that you would get in a specialist buffet restaurant; however there is plenty f variety and choices for even the most hard to please diner and the huge advantage is that the food hasn’t been sitting there for hours and is always hot.
Great Vegetarian options – very much like the Salt and Pepper Mushrooms. Also a selection of nice Tofu dishes in a pleasant environment – bar area is a plus.

The food is second to none and always fresh ,we have never been disappointed , Highly recommended
Brilliant food & atmosphere only outshone by the hostess with the mostest, Linda She is fantastic and her charity nights are fun and games all night with great entertainment.
Even better sunday afternoons Karaoke ad kids under 10 eat for free
Salt and pepper squid is devine and as I am diabetic she even cooks up a dish of stir fried veg.

HIGHLY recommended in so many ways. I’ve been part of all the amazing fundraising events at Rainbow 88 where Linda and her passionate and committed team of staff look after you whilst providing exceptional quality chinese food and also raising money for local charities. I’ve visited on several occasions now with family and the food is exceptional every time.
Love coming to Linda’s, whether it’s for a meal to eat in or take away, the food is always lovely and Linda is just the best!!
