A converted 17th century barn, The Nook offers self-catering accommodation for four in two en-suite bedrooms – one of which can be either a super king or 2 single beds. Serviced by a beautiful open plan kitchen/ diner with bifold doors leading onto a patio and private woodland. Additional space includes a lounge with wood burning stove and utility room. One well behaved dog is welcome.

Ennerdale Water is the most westerly lake (5 miles) even in high season, this is a great place to escape, with crystal clear water and pretty forest walks. The coastal town of St Bees is 7 miles away, enjoy a walk along the promenade or surfing and kite surfing on the gently shelving surf beach. Whinlatter is 17 miles away, here you will find Go Ape and some amazing bike tracks. For the more seasoned walkers take on Catbells (26 miles) or Kinniside Stone Circle (1.5 miles) where, on a clear day, you can see Scotland and the Isle of Man.
